Tour de Romandie: UAE Team Emirates’s roster

UAE Team Emirates will race in Switzerland’s Tour de Romandie, April 24-29, under the direction of Simone Pedrazzini and Bruno Vicino.

Rui Costa and Dan Martin will lead a balanced line up. They have clear ideas and are ready to use their experience over the six days.

Irish cyclist Dan Martin returns to the race after a three-year absence. “I’m going back again after the last participation in 2015,” Martin said. “I’ll face a particularly demanding edition of the Swiss race. There’s not going to be one simple stage and it’ll be interesting to see how they’ve routed the two time trials.”

“I’m going to Romandie after the Ardennes Classics, it’s a pairing that I’ve done often in the past and allowed me to get on the podium three times,” Costa said. “Usually, after Liège-Bastogne-Liège, my condition is good and enables me to battle for the overall victory and try to win a stage. I hope that’s the case again this year.”
