Sixth place for Jan Polanc at Grande Trittico Lombardo

In the unprecedented edition of the Grande Trittico Lombardo, which combines the historic Coppa Bernocchi, Tre Valli Varesine and Coppa Agostoni, the Slovenian Jan Polanc confirmed the good general condition of the whole UAE team by finishing-off a long rainy day in sixth position.

The heavy rain affected the race, which was decided in the last two laps of the final circuit.
At the beginning of the last lap, Gorka Izaguirre (Astana Pro Team) got the jump on the group and went on for victory alone. Jan Polanc came home in sixth place after the sprint that decided the top 10 of the day.

Polanc: “It was a very tough race, with the rain creating some problems for everyone. I managed to hang-in with the group of leaders and to give my best in the final sprint. The team has worked as well as ever and I feel in good condition also for the next races”.
