Ivo Oliveira top-5 in Vuelta Burgos opener

Ivo Oliveira got the week of on the right foot with a solid 5th place on stage 1 of the Vuelta Burgos from Vilviestre del Pinar to Burgos (168km).

The leadout specialist used his positioning and powerful finish to arrive at the head of the peloton as Pavel Bittner (DSM Firmenich) took the victory.

The team will target the GC with the likes of the experienced Rafal Majka and the returning Jay Vine who will use the event as a tester for his return from injury. Tomorrow the racing continues on stage 2 from Valle de Mena to Complejo Karstico Ojo Guareña (161km).
