Amgen Tour of California: The UAE Team Emirates roster

The UAE Team Emirates will take on the Amgen Tour of California next week, May 13 to 19.

The WorldTour race covers seven days, seven stages: beginning with a criterium in Long Beach and before ending in Sacramento, climbing the famous Gilbratar Road about Santa Barbara. There will be three chances for the sprinters, one individual time trial, two for the climbers and one for the attackers.

The team will be headed by Alexander Kristoff, fresh off his win in Eschborn-Frankfurt. He knows the California race well.

“I hope to take at least one stage win like in 2016,” he said. “I am well-trained and I fell ready to confront the U.S. stage race. I hope that I’m able to manage the jet-lag well. But it’ll be the same for all the riders coming from Europe.”
