UAE Team Emirates head to GP Montreal in title defence

Double World Tour action with GP Quebec & GP Montreal

With the Vuelta España reaching its climax in Spain the racing continues elsewhere on North-American shores with the GP Quebec (8 Sept) & GP Montreal (10 Sept) taking place on the eastern side of Canada. The team goes into Montreal defending the title which was won in 2022 by world number one, Tadej Pogačar.

UAE Team Emirates will take a strong team with a rich history on Canadian roads, with two former winners in their ranks. Tim Wellens won GP Montreal in 2015 while Diego Ulissi took the title in 2017.
The added presence of Adam Yates who was 4th in last years race behind Tadej Pogačar means the Emirati team are going in with strong options:

Yates: “I’ve been quite consistent all year and I hope to finish it off in a strong way here in Canada. We’ve had a few days to adapt here with some good training spins and now we’re ready to race. In these kind of circuit races the harder the racing is the better it is for me. We have the team to make the race hard. We have a few guys here in very good condition so we’re looking forward to it .”

Sports Director Simone Pedrazzini will direct the team of seven riders.
